5.8 LADDERS ARE PROPERTY INSTALLED 

Ladders are properly installed on the scaffolding.

• Ladders should be bolted on or integrated into the frames.

• A-frame ladders must not be used to access scaffolding.

• Other than form scaffolds, extension ladders should not be placed against a scaffold to gain access.

• Integrated frame scaffolds can not have rungs spaced greater than 16 3/4” apart or less than 8” in with or it is not considered a ladder.
