Fire hydrants that are NOT active on the site are bagged and marked as “out of service”.

Plastic bag/trash bag covering is acceptable

Okland or its Subcontractors shall not take out of service an existing fire hydrant unless they have the explicit written permission from Okland’s Superintendent and have given verbal notification to, and obtain authorization from, the City and/or State Fire Marshal’s office, the City Fire Department, and the City Public Utilities office prior to taking the fire hydrant out of service
