6.0 STORED ENERGY/ELECTROCUTION CONTROLS

Are these controls in place?

6.1 PPE REQUIRED FOR ENERGIZED EQUIPMENT

PPE required that meets shock and arc flash protection requirements when working on or around energized equipment

6.2 PIPES/LINES HAVE BEEN PURGED

Pipes and lines have been purged as appropriate

6.3 BRACING FOR POTENTIAL ENERGY

Bracing to control gravity (potential energy) has been installed as appropriate

6.4 ENERGY BLED OFF

Energy has been safely released (bled off) as appropriate

6.5 ELECTRICITY DISCONNECTED

Electricity has been isolated, disconnected, etc. as appropriate

6.6 LOCK OUT PROCESS

Lock out process and procedure carried out properly (e.g. application of locks, group lockout box, etc.)

6.7 COVERS ARE INSTALLED

Covers are installed on live panels, receptacles, and switches

6.8 CORDED EQUIPMENT PROCTECTED BY GFCIS

Corded electrical equipment protected by GFCIs

6.9 EXTENSION CORDS ARE OFF THE GROUND

Extension cords are off the ground (or to side of walkway) not creating trip hazards at any walkway or pathway

6.10 EXTENSION CORDS ARE IN GOOD CONDITION

Extension cords are in good condition (e.g. ground pin in place, no nicks/cuts in insulation)

6.11 EXTENSION CORDS ARE NOT SUBMERGED IN WATER

Extension cords are not submerged in water
